Best handheld gps inexpensive? if you dont want anything other than a gps system lo at the magellan maestro 3100. it has just under a million points of interest. if you have a cell phone with texting you are set. you can text google to get any address in the country. then just plug it into the unit. me and my wife are going to tennessee for a vacation in a few months. we already have every destination we want to go to programmed into our vacation file. we got this system for 139 bucks during black friday. well worth it. really accurate. the only major downfall i have found with it is once you slide it into the mount. its extremely difficult to take off the mount. this has got to be the best unit to buy if you can find it under 150 bucks. otherwise i would go with a garmin.

You have a lot of choices, so you need to find somewhere to compare the features and then find the cheapest ones available.

It depends on whether you want other features like MP3 playing or picture viewing, widescreen or not, voice features, etc.

See this chart to compare several top GPS devices: http://gpsnuvi.com/compare.php

You should be able to find something for cheap that fits exactly what you want. :)
