you can activate verizon Blackberry 8830 gps service. Blackberry 8830 has built-in functional GPS. but Verizon disabled the software to force people to buy their service. there is not a way to re-enable gps when using the device on Verizon’s network. At this point in time you have to have a subscription to the Verizon gps Navigator service in order to use the internal GPS. Once you have a subscription to that service, then you can use whatever third-party program you want. The other option would be to purchase an external Bluetooth GPS device and pair it via Bluetooth.
