it is very simple,If magellan maestro gps came with a USB cable just plug it into the USB and it’ll charge,it do not need other gps battery charger. keep in mind the computer has to be on for the USB to have power. As for using it and charging it, some electronics are set up to use or charge but not at the same time, some can do both it’s up to the manufacture as to how that works. this method can be use to charge other gps batteries.each gps battery life is different depend on gps manufacturer,you can find it on gps user manual.
