how to install gps utility: you can copy the GPS utility file to the computer to be used for downloading. This is a self-extracting zip file. Double-click on this file to unzip it. You will be prompted to save the contents; you should save it to a new folder (create it simply by typing the new name in the window).

then go to this directory and then double click on Setup.exe. (There are a number of other setup files, make sure the one you click on is Setup.exe.) This will start the installation wizard. You will be prompted to save to a directory; the default setup is c:/programs/gpsutility. If you wish to change this, click on Browse and navigate to another directory. Continue through the setup by clicking on Next. When the installation is complete, go to your Start menu, GPS Util, GPS Util. This will open the program.
