From the Home screen, touch Maps > Press the Menu key > Touch Map mode > Touch one of the following options: • Map to display maps with the names of streets, rivers, lakes, mountains, parks, and boundaries. • Satellite to display satellite images. • Traffic to display maps with current traffic conditions. • Street view to view maps that include street images.
if you come to a strange place, you can also find your own location with T-mobile G1. From the Home screen, touch the Maps icon > Press the Menu key > Touch My location. Your location is shown on the map as a blinking blue dot surrounded by a circle.
