Telenav will only work on a Moto Q if you purchase the external reciever sold by telenav. It is unable to use the built in GPS reciever which is used only for e911 calls.

You will also need to set up an account directly with Telenav as Sprint can not bill you for Telenav on a Moto Q or any other smart phone for that matter.
