How do you install sonar on a boat transom mount tranducer

garmin sonar and gps, it comes with a bracket that you screw to the hull on the transom. Make sure the bracket is just high enough that the transducer is in the water under the boat, but the bracket is not extended under the boat. Make sure you put it in a place where it will not hit the trailer when loading/unloadig the boat. Seal the screws with silicone.
Go to Garmin’s web site, select your gps/sounder, and download the owner’s manual for free. The manuals include detailed mounting instructions.
get a small 3″x3″ block of “Star Board” (Marine store), or a 3″x 3″ small block of wood. Use “5200″ Marine adhesive, and glue the block in the proper spot on the transom. THEN screw the transducer into THAT, this avoid’s you drilling “HOLES” in your hull, inviting a LEAK. Transducer “change out’s” are also quick and easy now, the transducer’s always get “Wasted” by hitting something in the water, or “Beaching” the boat.
Read and follow manufacturers instructions very carefully.
