Samsung Omnia photo GPS Tagging

4 May 2009 | by Fleta

you can use Samsung Omnia photo GPS Tagging funtion to display lattitude and longitute information. Samsung Omnia photo GPS tagging is easy to setup. Firstly go into the Camera option from the Omnia phone start menu, and make sure that you have a camera icon on the left-hand navigation bar (as opposed to a video camera icon). Then click on the cog and spanner icon on the left to enter settings. In that menu you will see an option for GPS – set this to “On” and return to the main camera screen.

You should now see an icon of a satellite dish in the top left corner to indicate GPS is enabled. This will light up once it has fixed on your location (which may take a while on the first use). Any photos on Samsung Omnia i900 you tag with this turned on will display lattitude and longitute information in their EXIF file.
