What is the difference between an A-GPS cell phone & GPS cell phone? Is there added data-transfer costs associated with A-GPS phones?
A-GPS (assistted global positioning system) is more reliable (usually within 5 meters-10 meters) because that service uses seperate servers to calculate where you are on the earth, and sends it back to your phone. That means, the phone you carry, or the navigation unit you have in the car uses less processing power. which frees up more memory for other things.
