Magellan GPS in car,Will extreme hot or cold temperatures affect it’s functioning? I don’t remember the user manual saying anything about temperature precaution. Just wanted to make sure it’ll be in the glove box for the winter. Temperatures here generally go as low as -2 degrees below 0 and high as 100 degrees F.
I have seen many GPS units that have numbers in their manuals about their operation in different temperatures. Tare usually related to the units turn on time when you plug it in your car. …

Auto GPS navigator , By your experience which brand has the best automobile GPS navigator? Magellan or Garmin or Tom-Tom .etcI think right now Garmin has the best GPS out there.
I have not tried all the other brands, however I researched all of them and read several reviews on forums and on Amazon.

I’ve never used a TomTom.
Aside from hardware, the software that the unit uses to calculate routes is very …

Best car gps under or around 250 dollars? I’m looking for a decent car gps navigation system that’s under or around $250.
It will be replacing my Magellan Roadmate 360, which has some serious issues. First, it doesn’t have retail stores beyond restaurants and gas stations listed in the points of interest database. Second, it requires you to put in the township/district instead of the real city or town name when putting in an address, which is pretty impossible to determine beforehand.
So basically, I’m looking for something with a big points …
