Where to put Garmin GPS system in car? I know it goes on the dashboard but where is the best spot?

Usually in the middle someplace. It needs to be in a spot that does not obstruct your view of the road and other vehicles and have good reception. My wife has her Garmin in the exact center of her dash

It should have come with a suction cup. Mount it in the center of the window down low . The speakers are mounted in the rear of the unit so the sound can reflect off of the windshield. Be sure to take this out of the car when not in use . The heat could damage it and people love to steal these.
